Old age is an inevitable part of life process; together with chronologic aging, it is the loss of biological and psychological abilities. With the increase in the average human life span, old age is seen to be a longer process and even the population over the age of 65 is expressed with certain age groups within itself. The demographic transformation or global aging causes a change in the age structure of the population in our country as well as the whole world. Along with the increase of the share of elderly population in the total population of Turkey, it is observed that there are also important spatial changes among the regions. The purpose of this research is to reveal the spatial change of the elderly population between 2007-2020. The data of the research has been extracted from the address-based registration system of Turkish Statistical Inst?tuce and analyzed. As a result of this research, it is established that the population of over the age of 65 is mostly present in the Mediterranean and East Black Sea Region, and the least present in Southeast and Middle East regions. It has been observed that the population in the 65-74 age group and over the age of 85 is in an increasing trend in most of the regions. On the other hand, there is a decreasing trend in the 75-84 age range. It has been determined that the percentage change of the elderly population is highest in the Mediterranean Region and the lowest in the Northeastern Anatolia Region.
