Mehmet Erolu tells us a fantastic journey that happens in the future and the past at the same time in Bellein K? Uykusu.The main character of this novel seeks for love and dream during this journey Writer alleges that happiness makes us ordinary and takes us to the memorylessness.He propounds the relationship between pain and memory in this novel.He also claims that being memoryless is the same as being dead while living. . Bellein K? Uykusu, which Mehmet Erolu tells a train travel of a man who doesn't even remember his name, is the first novel that we are going to examine personal and social memory.The second novel we are going to examine is Iss?zl??n Ortas? ,which belongs to the same writer.The main character of the novel is Ayhan lyasolu.In this novel writer tells Ayhan lyasolu's conflict with his past.Ayhan is a depressed character.He served in the army as third lieutenant during Cyprus Peace Operation in 1974.This war had many bad effects on him.After the war he recalls the past all the time. Namely he coalesces with his memory. We are going to try to evaluate the memory as a notion in this two novels.
