In this way, it is aimed to contribute to the national and international literature with a scale that can measure the crab basket syndrome. As a result of this study, in addition to developing a scale, a new definition of crab basket syndrome was also developed and a process that could explain the syndrome was developed. In line with the general purpose, the information obtained as a result of the domestic and foreign literature review was examined and the features that could explain the crab basket syndrome were listed. Based on these features and using the deductive method, a 50-item question pool was created. In line with the opinions of the experts, the proposal scale with 27 questions was finalized from the 50-item suggestion. By applying the obtained scale on the sample group; Cronbach's Alpha value of the scale subcomponents is between 793 and 902 values; it was concluded that the total reliability value was 801. In addition, the factor loads, correlation analysis and fit values of the subcomponents of the scale were examined. Finally, it was concluded that the findings obtained support that the scale can be used in future studies. Keywords: Crab Personality, Crab in barrel syndrome, Scale Development.
