AN EVALUATION ON PREFERABILITY OF DESTINATION BY TRAVEL BUSINESSES (CASE OF MUDURNU)

Travel businesses have an important mission such as directing the tourism’s dynamism. Travel businesses take tourists to the destination via package tours and support the image of the destination in tourism market. In particular, the travel businesses may have more importance for the destinations which are developing in the tourism area. The object of this study is to allow the preference of Mudurnu destination in the package tours to be understood and 19 package tour programs have been subjected to a content analysis. A thematic coding was performed on raw data and three themes were determined as continuity of the tours, accommodation and other superstructure opportunities and attraction factors, followed by an interpretation. Main result inferred at the end of the study is that the tours are not allowed to accommodate at Mudurnu destination. Providing recommendations to the destination stakeholders pursuant to destination selecting criteria of the travel businesses by interpreting the data may be expressed as the importance of the study.
