Author(s): Açelya TELLİ DANIŞMAZ

The concept of“Presenteeism” which is translated into Turkish as “here’s the problem of inability” has become one of the issues that should be emphasized in order to survive in a competitive environment and it has become one of the topics that are increasingly being studied in the field of organizational behavior. As a matter of fact, the ”human” element is a matter that has a profound effect on the outputs related to the enterprise, especially the employee satisfaction and therefore should be followed closely by the enterprises. In this respect, the concept of presenteeism, which is frequently mentioned in the literature of management and organizational behavior, has been the basis of the study. The aim of this study is to make content analysis of studies which are related to presenteeism in the literature and to determine the trend of studies in what direction in terms of various criteria. For this purpose, Web of Science (WoS) database scan was performed on 16.06.2016. In this context, 201 articles which were published between the years 2009-2018 (in the last 10 years) and released from 246 research scanned in SSCI Index were examined via making content analysis. The findings of the evaluation were given in the results section. It is believed that this study will be instructive to future studies about presenteeism.
