VIEWS OF CLASSROOM TEACHERS ABOUT THE USE OF EDUCATION INFORMATION NETWORK

The aim of this study is to uncover the views of classroom teachers about Education Information Network. The study employs mixed methods research. The sample of the study composes the 240 primary teachers who work in the city center and the towns of Afyonkarahisar in the 2015-2016 academic year. Qualitative data have been obtained through semi-structured interviews with 12 primary school teachers. Frequency, percentage values have been used for the descriptive statistics. To compare the mean of the variables, it has been referred to T-test, Oneway Anova. The qualitative data were analyzed using descriptive analysis technique. The results show that primary school teachers do not have enough knowledge about EBA. Moreover, it is signified that although primary school teachers do not often use EBA, they perceive EBA as effective, practical and productive platform. Therefore, it is suggested to design introduction and encouragement programs at schools in order to provide teachers with more information regarding EBA, and teach them how to use EBA more effectively.
