UTILISATION PREFERENCES OF VIRTUAL FİELD AND SELF PRESENTATION TACTICS OF YOUTH: AN INVESTIGATION

In this study solitions have been searched to the problems on the basis of regenerated youth culture by means of the converging communication techniques, for what purposes youngsters use these technologies and on presenting themselves in this virtual medium to their counterparts from what kind of communicational tactics they benefit.

By the study found which has been carried out on the university student revealed that the male student have spent more time on having new friends in feeling romantic emotions and done establishing relations in actual life; on the other hand, girls have spent more time, on sharing their photographs and videos with others in social media.

The findings have also revealed that, while the students presenting themselves, to their counterparts they have the tendency of using the communication tactics in creating ideal images, in defending present images of the city girl students and in forming new images asking others for their help.
