URBAN TRANSFORMATION PHENOMENA WITH IN THE SQUATTER AREAS CHANGE AND TRANSFORMATION, ANKARA, KEÇİÖREN AKTEPE CASE STUDY

Housing is a basic concept function of necessity of sheltering for people. Together with the migration from rural areas to urban areas in Türkiye increasingly since 1950’s, Which led to build the squatter housing in metropolitan cities especailly. This phenomena leading as an problem Which living more than 50 years. Politicians, bureaucrats and technocrats with urban planners tried to many alternative solutions for this issue and problem. Particularly after 1984, (firstly local government election in Turkey ), the beginning of the urban development with densities increases as an process on squatter housing zones from Which has been resulted to transformation of high rise apartments. This study has an production on politiques concerning with the housing sector Which focused on the changing and transformation of squatters and It has been evaluated interms of Ankara Keçiören Aktepe Squatter prevention zone in legal framework in Türkiye. The North Ankara Urban Transformation law in 2004 and the project has been effect on the transformation.
