TYCHE GROUP VOTIVE STATUETTES FOUND IN THE AFYON MUSEUM OF THE ROMAN IMPERIAL PERIOD

The subject of this study is four Tyche votive statuettes from the Roman Imperial Period, which are in the Afyon Museum. A typological, stylistic and iconographic evaluation of Tyche statues exhibited in the Afyon Museum has been made. As a result of these stylistic comparisons, it shows that the figurines were made in A.D. 2.nd and Early 3. nd century. When these statuettes are evaluated in terms of quality and quality; also, since there are similarities in terms of style and workmanship, it is seen that there are statuettes belonging t o Dokimeon workshop. The statuettes show the existence of local sanctuaries in the city. In the light of the evaluations of the figurines, it is seen that there is a belief structure and votive culture belonging to Tyche in the settlement.
