Abstract

Author(s): Mehmet ERGÜN

Every science has its own terminology. Even the science of law has a unique terminology of science that can only be understood and used by experts. The law/legal language and the terminology of law constitute a difficult field to understand and use of social sciences. Even in the doctrine, there is even an opinion that people who have mastered the literature of a discipline can do research in their fields without the need for a special guide. The meanings of the law/legal concepts that constitute the building blocks of the science of law are learned from the law dictionaries. In this context, one of the source works that can be used by the persons who will make researches in different law/legal systems, in all branches of law, in the field of Islamic law and comparative law is the Turkish Legal Dictionary. In the Turkish Legal Dictionary, the legal terms in other law/legal systems are given precisely and accurately. Moreover, at the end of the Turkish Law Dictionary, German-Turkish, French-Turkish, English-Turkish, Latin-Turkish law dictionaries were added. The aim of such an application is to contribute to comparative law research and comparative law researchers.
