Danishmend Ghazi’s wars of conquest around his center Niksar made him come face to face with Trebizond dukes because they were the rulers of that provinces. Melik [Prince] Ahmed Danishmend Ghazi, conquested Niksar and surroundings and made her his own center. Danishmend Ghazi’s struggled succesfully with Greek, Armenian and Georgian alliance and also with Greeks of Trebizond. Because of this, at the epic source called Danishmendnama, relations between Danishmends and Trebizond takes a lot of space. At this study, relations between Danishmend Gazi and Christian rulers of Trebizond given from Danishmendnama and revealed information had been cross checked by other historical sources.
