Property crimes spatially have different distribution pattern. The aim of this study is to analyze and explain spatial distribution and the causes of property crimes in Tokat City in 2006. Oriented to the aim in question, first, the authors have gotten the data from related institutions and organized them in order to get aimed results. By using Anova test, it is decided if there exist some the relations of selected variable, and then the direction of relations is put forward. The results of this research conclude the fact that there spatially exist some numerical differences in commuted property crime. It is seen that the differences in spatial distribution of crimes are thanks to socio economic differences and land use. Central business centers, most populated areas and functional medical areas are attractive for crimes. To minimize the crimes in before mentioned areas, some security measurements are checked over by paying attention to socio-economic characteristics.
