Great importance has been given to the balance of the two characteristics of human fear and hope (havf and recâ). There was a balance between the reward that religion promised to the believers and the punishments to be given to those who deny religion; the announcement of this reward and punishment to people was called tergib and terhib. In the Qur'an and the hadiths, Tergib and Terhib have always been balanced; where a gospel is mentioned, a warning and cautious verse followed immediately. The Qur'an, in the existing tergîb and terbîb to diagnose, representation, arts such as depiction; short forms such as short and parable. In the Qur'an, tergib and terhib style are used to order goodness and to avoid evil. Tergib and terbîb style to influence the hearts of the interlocutors, the basic principles of religion, orders and prohibitions in their minds to embellish them in order to ensure the implementation of these are given. In the Qur'an, every verse that encourages believers for good and avoids evils can be evaluated in terms of tergîb and terhîb.
