Themed restaurants are commercialized food and beverage establishments aiming to spendingnice time as well as human’s basic needs.Accordingly, themed restaurants supply their customers both eating and entertainment experience. In this study, the definition and the emergence of themed restaurants, the difference between themed and ethnic restaurants as generally used each other despite of different from in the literature, the samples of themed restaurants in the world and in Turkey have been evaluated by doing literature review about the topic. So, it has been mentioned that there are a few themed restaurants in Turkey and they have a significant place in the market in terms of providing a competitive advantage, and given suggestions to the enterprisers planning to make investment thereby.
