THE VIEWS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS' ABOUT THE INTERVAL HOLIDAY IMPLEMENTATION IN TERM FOR THE FIRST TIME IMPLEMENTED

The aim of this study is to examine the opinions of the classroom teachers regarding the interval holiday within the period that was put into practice for the first time in the 2019-2020 academic year. Qualitative research method was used in the research. The sample of the research consists of 13 classroom teachers who participated in the study voluntarily and determined by appropriate sampling. Data of the research were collected by a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researchers and were analyzed by content analysis. The answers were examined, their answers were transformed into codes and themes, and sample sentences were given. The consensus among the researchers calculated for the reliability of the research was found to be 90.38%. According to the results of the analysis; interval holiday practice positively affected primary school teachers and primary school students, and did not cause any problems in education and training services. According to the primary school teachers, can be said that the parents were negatively affected by the practice because they were mostly working parents.
