Play is the thing that comes to mind when it is said child. The common point of every thought about educational side of play is that, it provides an environment that the child will benefit for his/her improvement,interest,needs and abilities. Thats why the family has a direct effect on childs. Family is one of the most important factor that affects children success,improvement and social adaptation. When considered the importance of play and family in a child’s life, it can be seen that the studies in this field is limited. Therefore to reveal the thought of parents about play has been aimed in this study. A qualitative research(phenomenology) has been used in this research. In this research the qualitative research phenomenology has been used. Phenomenology focuses on the thing we know but have no deeply understanding for. This technique let us know the perspective of different people for the same object. This research contains 29 parents as a working group that have childrens in prep school in Kastamonu. In order to collect datums for those parents, personal information form and a questionnaire which is suitable for research purpose has been applied. To analyze the data phenomenological grafik has been used. As a result it has been conducted that the parents has a positive idea about games’ effect on child life. It has also been conducted that the parents consider that games arent for bubbles,they have a very big contribution for the childs improvement.
