THE USAGE OF GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) IN CONSTRUCTIVIST TEACHING METHOD AND APPLICABILITY IN GEOGRAPHY LESSONS IN HIGHER EDUCATION GRADE

Constructivist teaching is described as a method that learner define the teaching method is a method that create the new idea and mentality take into consideration past and present knowledge. In other words, learning phenomena prominence than teaching and this teaching mobilize the sense of research and concern of learner and activate interaction of it. Geographical Information System (GIS) is an effective tool to analyze, to map, to synthesize the object and events belong to the earth and to carry out the most favorable plan for living activity in relationship human and place. Technology of GIS ensure the information to be used in an effective way for solving problem that are lived in life and is used for sustain the life more conditions. In University, to teach the Geography lessons those are the curriculum of Geography Department of Education Faculty and Primary Education in Social Science will be archive the effective learning by using the Constructivist teaching method. Thus, student have the tradition of teaching that it contain student learn how reach the information and no memorizing and use the information for living activities with the teaching method that is organized. The aim of study is to provide the integration between Constructivist teaching method that is a questioning and aim at student centered method and teaching method supported by GIS and to put fort how is ensured the learning of student comprehensively the information on geography lesson
