THE TRANSFORMED PARAMETERS OF RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INTEGRATION AND RELIGION IN THE 50th YEAR OF MIGRATION: TURKS IN GERMANY

Abstract

Author(s): Nebile ÖZMEN

Over the half a century since labour migration movement from Turkey to Germany, there have been integration problems apparently stem from both societies. There has been differentiation in host society and its institutions, scientists and Turkish society which is the most crowded migrant group in Germany in terms of integration obstacles, definition, borders and integration parameters. Especially, as a result of some historical processes, the relationship between integration and religion has given rise to discussions. However, nowadays it is observed that the statement indicating that Muslims are a part of Germany given by the ultimate governors has provided a new and positive dimension.
