Giving rise to important results from the political and social perspectives, Balkan Wars were also reflected in the Turkish literature. Losing the lands that were considered as Ottoman lands for many centuries and what had been lived through during the immigrations have been the subject of many books. The novel Bizim Diyar written by Sevinç Çokum, a writer who is sensitive to social problems and to Turks living abroad, is one of those works. In the novel based on written sources and true stories, Çokum tells about this important historical period. The novel dated 1978 developing around the family of Ali Bey, tells the story of what has been lived through during the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, the Balkan Wars and the immigration from Rumelia. In this story, the sections that can be evaluated in the context of intertextuality draw the attention. Our study dwells upon the outstanding features of the novel Bizim Diyar, as a mirror of what has been experienced in that part of the world during the Balkan Wars and the hardships that Turks underwent as they were forced to exile.
