In the present study, the life and services of Zayd ibn Hârithah who spent the large part of his life in the Prophet Muhammad’s hands were examined. Zayd ibn Hârithah, even before the Prophet Muhammad became a prophet, saw the supreme moral values of the Prophet Muhammad and preferred to be one of the Prophet’s slaves at the expense of his freedom and family. He had been one of the greatest supporters of the Prophet Muhammad and regarded the Prophet’s problems and happiness as his own until he died a martyr in the Mu’tah Battle. Also, Zayd ibn Hârithah is the only companion whose name has been addressed in the Qur’an. However, Zayd ibn Hârithah, who was an emancipated slave, remained in the background due to the general perception of the time despite his all superior qualities.
