THE RIGHT OF CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR OWN LIVES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THEIR PARENTS

In this study, it is aimed to depict the participation of children in their own lives with the eye of the parent. Descriptive analysis technique was used in the study conducted by basic qualitative research method. The study group consisted of 5 male, ten female and 15 parents determined by appropriate sampling and snowball sampling techniques from purposeful sampling types. The issues that affect children's lives such as play, playground, game material, clothing, nutrition, leisure time, home life have been tried to be examined. In negotiations with parents by providing a variety of participants, participation of children in their lives has been placed on the participation ladder of Roger Hart (1992). When the opinions of the parents involved in the survey were examined, it was seen that the participant parent in one subject could be anti-participation in the other subject.
