THE RESEARCH TRENDS OF POSTGRADUATE THESES OF VOCABULARY ENRICHMENT TOWARDS TURKISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

In the research, it is aimed to determine the research tendencies of the postgraduate theses of vocabulary enrichment towards Turkish as a foreign language. The research was carried out according to descriptive content analysis method was used. The data source of the research consists of postgraduate theses of vocabulary enrichment of Turkish as a foreign in the National Thesis Center. The data source of the research was created by scanning through the National Thesis Center website. The data were evaluated in accordance with the stages of the descriptive content analysis method. As a result of the research, 75 master's and 15 doctoral theses have been reached to vocabulary enrichment of Turkish as a foreign language. It is determined that the oldest thesis study on the subject was prepared in 1996 and the most thesis in 2019. In addition, it was observed that the theses in the data source mostly covered teaching methods, techniques, and technologies, designed with a qualitative approach, and the document was used to collect the data. The results of the research showed that there is a tendency towards determining, evaluating, and improving the situation in their thesis on vocabulary enrichment of Turkish as a foreign language.
