Inthestudiesthatdealwiththerelationshipbetweenfolktale –a kind of traditionalnarrative- andnovelandshortstory –that can be identified as modern narratives-, it is oftenemphasizedthatthesupernaturalcharactersembodied in thenature of folktalearethebasis of modern narrativesthroughsupernaturalevents. Inotherwords, throughfantasticelements in folktales, thisrelationship is triedto be done. Inthisstudy, theeffect of realityandfictionalperceptions – one of theuniqueelements of folktale - totheconnection of fiction andreality in modern narratives is questioned. Intheaxis of a secretcontractestablishedbetweenwork/narratorandreader/listener, therelationshipbetweenfolktaleand modern narrative is handled in thecontext of “fiction” and “reality” concepts.
