Although it covers a number of issues such as general behaviors, art, architecture, literature, food and so on., the first thing that comes to mind when called fashion is generally highlighted dressing practical at a particular time in a society. This practical is an important study area which makes determining identity and lifestyle with symbolic value in visual culture in the socialization process. Because dressing is just a human-specific practice and it has a number of political, social, psychological and aesthetic codes that is given by the community , associated with important historical events. These codes that protect the established social order or against the social order are converted to identity indicators when considering the relationship with the social order. This means that dressing practices that allow individuals to express their social identity have the power of either reproduce the current social order or blurring boundaries and breaking the rules within the established order. In this article were examined the dressing practical’s symbolic link with the visual culture, past, present and future functions and meanings, evolution process to fashion and adding forms of the consumer culture.
