THE PREACHER'S PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED IN RELIGIOUS SERVICES IN PRISONS

The aim of this paper is to identify the problems encountered in the realization of religious education activities for the rehabilitation of prisoners in penal institutions. The sample of this study is consisted of 17 volutary prison preacher being still worked in prison since 2015. In this research, which adopts scan model, semi-structured interview technique of which the form of qualitative research is used to obtain the data. The content analysis is used in the analysis of data. At the end of the research, it has been reached that many problems related with religious services in prisons; religious and moral instruction; individual interviews held with prisoners; physical, working conditions and atmospheres of the prisons and professional qualifications of prison preachers, have been faced; consequently these problems affect the achivement of the objectives of religious education facilities negatively.
