Thefamilyenvironment is a child’sfirstandmostimportantsocialenvironment. Qualifiedtogethernesswithparentsandsharingbetweenparentsand a childareverysignificiant in terms of childdevelopment. Developingtechnologyandthedifferences in today’slivingconditionsseemtohaveinfluencedthesocialinteractionbetweenthechildandparents. Thisstudyaimstoresearchtheinteraction of parentswiththeirpreschool-childrenwhentheyare in homeenvironment. Inthisstudy, wetriedtodetermine how theyspend time togetherandwhatkind of toysandgamestheyplay. Inthisstudydesigned as qualitative, thesamplegroupconsists of 27 motherswith 4-6 year-oldchildren. Inthestudy, semi-structuredinterviewmethodwasusedtocollectdata. Forthedataanalysis, contentanalysis of interviewrecordswas done andthe data wasexaminedunderthethemebycoding. As a result, it has beendeterminedthatalthoughparentsareaware of thebenefits of games in childdevelopment, theycannotspareenough time toplaygameswiththeirchildren since theyworkorgiveprioritytohousework. It has beendeterminedthattheparentswith 3-4 yearoldchildrentrytospend time toplaygameswiththeirchildrenalmosteverydayevenif it is not for a long time. Theparentswith 5-6 yearoldchildrengivemoreimportancetodoinghomeworkandactivitiesratherthangames. Havingdiscussedthefindings, variousproposalshavebeendeveloped in thelight of literatüre information.
