After the conquest of Bukhara, with the process of region Islamization, hadith scholars from the descendants of the tabi’in came to this city and made it homeland. These muhaddiths had educated their own students in the beginning period of Bukharâ hadithism. One of the hadith scholars from the generation of tabi’in, who had been educated in Bukhara is Jesus b. Moses Guncâr. In this study, The importance and the place of Jesus b. Moses Guncâr in the hadith of Bukhara was examined under the titles of Guncâr's life, teachers, students, hadith scholars and exemplary narrations about him. As a result, Jesus b. Moses Guncâr raised twenty-seven students of Bukhari, and the students of Guncâr were instrumental in the raising of the famous muhaddith in Bukhara afterwards. It was revealed that Jesus b. Moses Guncâr contributed significantly to the development process of Bukhara hadithism.
