THE PERCEPTIVE TRANSFORMATION OF NEVRUZ BAIRAM: NEVRUZ PERCEPTION IN TURKISH PRESS

In Turkish world, Nevruz has a rooted past, positive associations of ideas, a connective and an integrating essence and has a different place for its these sides. So-called features of Nevruz has been perpetuated upto date in time and trough geographical conditions with showing some variations. As to the day, especially in our country its former periods, entering into a transformation never come across, it has worn the role of rebellion media that a group of people bring out exuberance events and use it as a propaganda item. This work, which focuses on Nevruz’s supposed transformation that never fits much to its essence, condenses toward Nevruz perception in regard with Turkish press and through papers’ news content, aimes to put the Nevruz perception of Turkish press into eyes. As result of analysing four national newspapers (Yeniça?, Sabah, Zaman and Hürriyet) which have different reader profiles and different broadcasting policies, besides Nevruz is a spring bairam association, that it calls for the concept of terrorism and has results in such way are being released together with all details in papers.
