Turkish Cypriot printing press and publication activities which have been processing in line with the irmodernization process has a great importance in the history of Turkish Cypriots. Printing is one of the most important indicators of modernization. Unlike today, Turkish Cypriot printing sectorinitially had started after the year of 1878 with objectives of self defense against Greek nationalism rather than having commercial purposes.

Turkish Cypriot printing press succeeded to keep afloat Turkish Cypriot nationalism against the Greeks, even if it could not follow the technological innovations in the field. This research aims to reveal the difficult conditions which Cyprus Turkish printing press had experienced with quotations from various books. I have attemted to in this study illustrate the tough stages that Cyprus Turkish print in press went through and to discuss how these reflected on theTurkish Cpriot Community. This is an experimental study.
