The Nomadic Movements In Akseki Town

The town Akseki is located in the high and steep-uneven piece of region on the Toros Mountains, northeastern of Antalya. Akseki, wintertime of which is colder and summertime is cooler, as well in accordance with the Coastal Mediterannean due to the influence of altitude, overpopulates considerably more in summer months. The town area composes in particular summer pasture areas where the nomadic tribes spending their wintertime in low and dell areas on the Mediterannean coast applies in summer months.Yörük migrations, which have been performed for long years among the Coastal Mediterannean and Akseki, models of nomadic movements observed in all ranges of the Toros. Several arguments have been made on that movement, whose units are such as, the nomadized population, the settled population and the state. However, any arguments have not been able to prevent those people from migrating. Therefore, the Toroses are still applied today as the surviving space by the migrating Yörük tribes,which rae accompanied by the peal sounds from domestic goats.
