THE NEW THEOLOGY MOVEMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF THE RECENT REPRESENTATİVES (ANATOLIA EXAMPLE)

Theology (Kalam) Science is known as “Esrefu‘l-Ulûm (the most honorable science)” among Islamic sciences. This knowledge has a formation process including a few steps from the past to the present. One of these steps is "Kalam Method". The first period ulema, the common attitude "Salafi Method" is easily overcome after some development, by adoption of “Kalam method", and this scientific discipline which opens the door to change and innovation, has led to pioneer to other branches of science performing his own unique style by changing and stimulating innovation throughout history. Today as it was in history, the concept of refurbishment and repair of a mentality among Muslims is now known as reality. This reality began in the late Ottoman period and still continues at present. Islamic scholars realized a formation named ‘New Theology (Kalam) Science Movement’ when they entered into a quest for innovation. Here in this article, the purpose is to examine the leading personalities of the New Theology (Kalam) Science Movement and valuable works they bequeathed to us.
