Due to technological advances and increased sedentary lifestyles. In this situation are known to bring to gether a variety of health problems in today. One of the health problems also occur in paralel with these dentary lifestyle obesity. Many studies in national and international literature draws attention to the increase in obesity prevalence. Obesity also brings along some health problems (hypertension, diabetes, etc.). This situation leads to increased state of health expenditure. Therefore, it is seen that state stake some precautions to minimize the prevalence of obesity. Sedentary lifestyle is located within the group are frequently seen in children in today. This increases the prevalence of obesity in childhood. Participation in physical activity and sport in the prevention of obesity due to a sedentary life style are known to be quite helpful. However, it seen that the fight against childhood obesity-related physical activity and sport participation in the benefits of there search seems to be limited in our country. In this context, emphasized the importance of participation in physical activity and sport in prevention of childhood obesity in this study.
