The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has introduced significant challenges and opportunities for the enforcement of consumer protection laws in the context of trade law. As the digital marketplace continues to expand, the existing legal frameworks struggle to keep pace with the dynamic nature of online transactions. This research investigates the impact of e-commerce development on the implementation of consumer protection laws in Indonesia's trade law. By analyzing current legal provisions, examining case studies, and exploring the regulatory gaps, this paper evaluates how Indonesia’s legal system has adapted to ecommerce and identifies areas for improvement in safeguarding consumers' rights. The findings indicate that while there has been progress in digital consumer protection, critical gaps remain that hinder effective enforcement and the protection of consumer rights.
