Population is a multidimensional concept. It affects the future of the countries with the economic, social and political aspects. First of all, labour force is determined by the population. In the demographic transition process, the stage of the increasing working age and reaching great amount while the population growth rate decreases is called as demographic opportunity window. Demographic opportunity window is occured in the middle stage of the demographic transition process. Türkiye is in the third stage of the demographic transition process. But the proper policies must be applied in a suitable time in order to acquire of the demographic opportunity window.
