The image developed by tourists about a destination determines their level of satisfaction by affecting their experiences and contributes to the formation of destination loyalty by directing their behaviors such as recommending the destination and requesting to visit again. In this direction the aim of study is to determine the destination image perceptions of tourists in Erdek which is Turkey’s major domestic tourism destination and to evaluate the effect of this perception on satisfaction and destination loyalty. The population of the study consists of tourists coming to Erdek for holiday purposes. In order to gather data questionnaire technique was used by sampling. Correlation and regression analyzes were performed to determine whether the sub-dimensions of destination image (destination atmosphere, attraction elements, diversity of activities, tourism development, natural environment) had an effect on destination satisfaction and destination loyalty. It was revealed that the model created is meaningful and the destination atmosphere, attraction elements and tourism development dimensions have a significant effect on destination satisfaction and destination loyalty.
