THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE QATAR STATE IN THE HISTORICAL PROCESS AND IMPLEMENTED SANCTION

In this study, it was given general information about Qatar then focuses on the political situation of Qatar in the Ottoman period and also have been emphasized about the tribe that ruled Qatar during the Ottoman era. The aim of this study is to give information about the importance of al-Sani family in the past and present and also about the Ottoman-British struggle in Qatar and the withdrawal of the Ottomans from Qatar. The process after Qatar's independence, as well as the discoveries made by the Qatar state in the field of economy and trade, as well as the discovery of oil, are mentioned. Sheikh Hamad al-Sani, who is currently the Emir of Qatar, deals with the commercial activities of his country in order to ensure the economic development of his country. However, the activities of the British in Qatar to put an end to Ottoman domination were mentioned. Also it was given information about the progress that made Qatar in the field of economics and international business achievements after obtaining Qatar’s independence from Britain. In this regard, it has been informed about the discomfort experienced in the countries of the region after the forefront of the international platform, and about the sanction imposed on Qatar because of Saudi Arabia's Wahhabi expansionism and the Gulf states as the sole judge. Furthermore, it have been emphasized the Turkey’s help during sanction on Qatar and the Turkey’s military base in Qatar.
