THE ATTITUDES OF GIFTED STUDENTS FOR GEOGRAPHY LESSON

The aim of this study is to determine talented students’ attitudes for geography lesson who study in gifted school. The study was conducted in the second term of 2009-2010 academic year with 87 students who studied at the 9. and 10. classes of TEV nanç Turke Private High School. In this study, an attitude questionnaire was administered to students by researchers. Findings which were achieved by analyzing test items in scale were commented according to tables. Frequency (), percentage (%), mean (X), standard deviation (Sd), Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and t-test were used to analyze the data. According to findings, gifted students have positive attitudes for geography lesson. Thus, it is suggested it should be prepared a different curriculum which includes high geographical thinking skills for gifted students
