THE ASSESSMENT OF TOURISM AREAS WITH A’WOT ANALYSIS TECHNIQUE: THE SAMPLE OF NORTH ANTALYA CULTURE AND TOURISM CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT REGION

In this study, by using a hybrid method called Digital SWOT technique, it is aimed to determine the most appropriate strategy and tourism diversity for “North Antalya Culture And Tourism Conservation And Development Region”. For this purpose, SWOT analysis was performed and with analytic hierarchy method, the SWOT analysis was digitized. As a result of this technique which is called A’WOT analysis technique, it was determined that the most important priority is “Being ignored of the alternative tourism because the region is identified with the coastal tourism ”. The lowest priorities are “The existence of ‘K?z?ll? Solid Waste Storage Area’ by ‘Antalya Metropolitan Municipality in the boundaries of K?z?ll? district ” and the “Inadequate Tourism Infrastructure ”. The tourism types were evaluated such as bushwalking, tableland tourism, culture tourism and agricultural tourism, which are determined by experts and considered that they may exist within the work area with golf, theme parks, F-3-motorcycle-bike and offroad area, movie studio, exhibition-congress and trade fair center which are recommended by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the planning area.
