THE ASSESSMENT OF PREDICTIVE SITUATION OF VOCATIONAL PROGRAMME ON (IN RELATION WITH) COURSE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

In this study, to what extent course academic achievement that predicted the Professional Programme was investigated. Because of this, the students’, enrolled in Refahiye Vocational Higher School of Post Services in Erzincan University, course academic achievement in teaching programme in terms of their courses was discussed. Research was conducted by means of survey model. According to the obtained findings , 132 students’ , studying in first and second grade of Post Services Programme, academic achievements were analysed through regression stepwise analysis method. According to the study findings from predictive values, the academic achievements of students, studying in the first grade didn’t show good enough the qualification of vocational programme. In contrast, it was observed that the qualification of their courses in the vocational programme were just emerged at the time of second grade level. The findings obtained after research have suggested that the vocational programmes need to be reevaluated. Moreover, in terms of general score mean, the courses occupying in the programme and their duration is suggested to be reevaluated too. It is also necessary to question the the processes of measurement tools’ validity and reliability and assessment activities in order to keep consistency.
