War entered to literature as a nation’s tragedy and a psychological experience in 20th century. That experience reflected to Russian literature with all aspects. Poets and writers in their works give information about the psychological structure of the society and the people of their times as result of the shaping of their mental world by communities they live in. One of the authors shaped his creative writing by the Great Patriotic War is prose writers Yu. Bondarev.
Developed his literary personality with The Great Patriotic War, Yuri Bondarev put on the center of his works the war in human spirit rather than the war in trenches. One of those studies is the povest The Last Salvo in which the author compose hero’s from artillerists. The povest which describes the struggle against the enemy for the sake of people’s homeland and freedom, is full of many reality that revealed the nature of simple Russian military and the conversions of divisions that the war had created in their souls.
In this studdy, which takes the the axis of a work from Russian war prose,the povest The Last Salvo of Yuri Bondarev will be examined with a view that brings together the literature and psychology in the same text. Our aim in this study is to exemplify the use of psychology in the analysis of literary works and to contribute few studies carried out in this field.
