THE ANALYZE OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PERCEPTIONS OF FATHERHOOD ROLE OF THE FATHERS WHO HAVE CHILDREN IN PRESCHOOL PERIOD AND THE SPOUSAL SUPPORT LEVELS

This research was carried out in an attempt to analyze the relationship between the perceptions of fatherhood role of the fathers who have children in preschool period and the spousal support levels. The sample of this research was comprised of the fathers of 533 children who are over 48-60 months of age that continue attending the kindergartens of public elementary schools along with the independent kindergartens. The research is a descriptive research in which screening model was used. In the research, ‘Personal Data Form’, ‘Fatherhood Role Perception Scale’ and ‘Spousal Support Scale’ were used as data collection tools. It was determined that both the perception of the fatherhood role of the fathers and the spousal support levels comprised a reasonable difference statistically according to the education level (p<0.01) and the occupations (p<0.01) of the mothers. It was determined that there is a positive relationship between the perceptions of fatherhood role of the fathers and the spousal support levels. (p<0.01).
