THE ADMINISTRATIVE AND ECONOMIC EFFECTS OF MONGOL INVASION ON THE SOUTH CAUCASUS CITIES

Administrative, social and economic transitions in regions that Mongols invaded are generally negative except some situations. The first arrival of Mongols first arrival to the region for chasing Khorezm?ah. However, the essential purpose of other arrivals to the area is invade there. Many of people who lived in the regions are killed and many of them are taken as captives with this purpose. Although, lots of cities and castles are destroyed with various ways. Despite that, both wintery and summery regions as Mughan and Aladag are opened to use for Mongol and Urmia’s steep lands hide inside the treasures that acquired from near regions cause to occur of new administrative centres. At the same time old trade centers were changing places because of reconstruction of capital cities as Tabriz and Sultana in time of Ilkhanids. In this article we will explain administrative and economic transitions in South Caucasus after Mongol invasion.
