TEWQΑÂT IN ARABIC LITERATURE AND LITERARY FEATURES

Tewqî’ât is a short story in which the caliphs and governors have written their decisions of the requests communicated to them. it consists literary arts and impressive expressions. These requests include complaints a request and consultation in a matter of concern.Tewqi’ât has started to use in ?slamic period, especially in the period of Abbasids in which the state institutions had developed and the art of prose had entered the development period. ?t is one of the most affected species by the content and style of the Qur'an. Tewqiât is one of the prose arts. Tewqi’ât appeared during the period of four caliphs and developed during the Umayyads. Withthe rise of Islamic conquests and the rise of caliphs, viziers and statesmen, tewqiât became more mature, especially in the Abbasids period, gained the literary sense and strengthened its place as a prose type. Tewqi’ât is also important in terms of revealing the political and literary direction of the writer.
