TEACHER’S OPINIONS ON THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL 4TH GRADE HUMAN RIGHTS, CITIZENSHIP AND DEMOCRACY LESSON CURRICULUM

The aim of this study is to invesitigate 4th Grade Human Rights, Citizenship and Democracy Lesson Curricula that become valid in the period of 2015-2016. The research was a descriptive study designed in survey method. In the study, the researcher developed data collection tool that is based on curriculum. This tool was implemented over 155 class teachers. In analysing the datas, it was implemented the arithmatic mean and standard deviation. In the study, the teachers’ opinions were positive related with 4th Grade Human Rights, Citizenship and Democracy Curricula, excluding the objectives element of curriculum. According to the findings of the study; the teachers stated that the objectives that was suggested in the curriculum were not suitable for the learning level, measurable and transitable to activity. Besides, the teachers stated to disapprove to them for developing the tool that measured the objectives. It was recommended that the curriculum development and and assesment and evaluation experts should review the objectives in the curriculum.
