STUDENTS VIEWS WITH REGARD TO THE EFFECT OF MOBILE DEVICES LANGUAGE ON LEARNING TURKISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE: TRABZON TOMER SAMPLE

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of mobile devices language on learning Turkish as a Foreign Language in line with the students opinions. The research was conducted with 27 candidates who are studying in Karadeniz Technical University TOMER during the fall semester of 2017-2018 education year. The qualitative method was used in the collection, analysis and interpretation of the data. In this context, semi-structured interviews were held with the candidates. As a result of the research, it is found that replacing mobile devices language to the foreign one made a significant contribution of foreign language learning process. In addition, interviews with participants have generally reached the conclusion that they prefer to use their mobile devices in foreign language for reasons such as new vocabulary learning, quick learning, easy adaptation to the natural environment of the language
