For that purpose, a survey form was performed to 208 students in order to put forward their awareness and opinions about physical and human geography images on Turkish banknotes of Republic period within the framework of fundamental knowledge that they were gained by the course of Turkey’s Natural and Cultural Heritage in Karabuk University Faculty of Letters Department of Geography. Data that were gained from the research evaluated with the qualitative data analysis. After the evaluation, it is seen that students’ awareness was low level related to the images, and it is seen that students did not pay attention for the images on banknotes. On the contrary, students pointed out that banknotes could have a very important role for protecting, and transferring to the future of natural and cultural heritage by natives and foreign tourists. Therefore; students suggest that banknotes should have more colorful printing or little bit relief, and introductory programs would be organized efficiently.
