The Van Lake Watershed consists of the borders of the country's most backward areas. Although this backwardness is suggested to be in socio-economic terms, this situation is triggered by socio-cultural structure. The feudal structure of watershed, which has a closed society structure, may occasionally affect many areas of watershed such as education, health, recreation, family structure, working life and social life. In this context, it is aimed to explain the socio-cultural structure by introducing criteria such as traditions, customs, marriages, educational structure, family structure and socio-cultural structure in Van Lake Watershed.
