Author(s): Ahmet AKIN Mehmet Emin TURAN Erkan TURAN

The aim of this research is to examine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the SocioContextual Teacher Burnout Inventory (Pietarinen, Pyhältö, Soini & Salmela-Aro, 2013). Participants were 137 teacher, 75 were female and 62 were male. The goodness of fit index values of the uni-dimensional model were: x²= 38.88, df= 25, RMSEA= .064, IFI= .95, CFI= .95, GFI= .94, SRMR= .056. The internal consistency coefficient of the scale was .79. The corrected item-total correlations of Socio-Contextual Teacher Burnout Inventory’s Turkish Form ranged from .36 to .63. Overall findings demonstrated that this scale had high validity and reliability scores and that it may be used as a valid and reliable instrument in order to socio-contextual teacher burnout.
