Nutrition is the consumption of food necessary for growth and development, maintaining life, protecting and improving health. Nutritional habits are effected by many factors such as culture, lifestyle, geographical features, climate. This study aims to analyze the nutritional habits of the community living in Nev?ehir and Kayseri. The aim of the study is to evaluate the factors effecting the nutritional status and habits using a questionnaire. As the nutrition cannot be handled alone, sports and diet, which positively affect health, are also discussed in this study. The time spent on television and the internet which affects the affecting the immobile life was also examined. A significant relationship was observed between income and nutrition practices. The participants spent a large proportion of their income to nutrition. Generally, the participants consume carbohydrate based meals and their meat consumption is low. Nearly half of the participants stated that the advertisements affected their behaviors and hence they buy products accordingly. Some of the participants stated that they have conducted diet at least once in their lives, but they have taken their diet programs from television and the internet instead of consulting to a dietitian
