In early childhood, as with all developmental characteristics, it is important not to disregard religious development; this criticel period must be managed with the support of accurate knowledge and proper methods.Due to their importance during these critical years and their role in being the first point of consultation, as well taking up responsibility, the family should have the most active role in the formation of an individual’s personality and character. Therefore, it is important to know the early childhood’s characteristics of religious development and it is both a right and a necessity for an individual to be supported through this critical period. Due to this necessity, this work, firstly, provides information about the characteristics of early childhood development and then, according to the characteristics of early childhood development, identifies the principles of the religious education that should be given in the family
